Rolling before they sit down
Radio mics fitted and a camera already on the shoulder, so the first unguarded seconds off the floor are on the card. Quick on-the-fly lines in the corridor, then a reset for the proper sit-down.

Shooting PDDoP & editorEnglish & Arabic
London-based shooting PD and DoP. I get contributors talking, shoot for the edit and light every frame properly, on studio floors, at live events and in the field. Sweep across the footage to compare the flat log with the finished grade.

Watch on Vimeo ↗Contestants walk off the floor with the moment still in them: the relief, the frustration, the thing they didn't say on stage. As a shooting PD my job is to be there when they do, already rolling, and to ask the question that brings it out.
Radio mics fitted and a camera already on the shoulder, so the first unguarded seconds off the floor are on the card. Quick on-the-fly lines in the corridor, then a reset for the proper sit-down.
Open questions, a beat of silence, and playing the moment back to them. I push for the honest answer, give them room to react, and know when to stop.
I interview in Arabic and English, so contestants from across the Arab world can answer in the language they feel in, and the edit gets clean lines in both.
Years of interviews for documentaries and news features taught me to help an expert put a complicated idea into one sentence a family audience gets first time.
I'm an editor too, so I shoot what the cut needs: clean soundbites, reaction cutaways, tops and tails, and notes on the best lines so the edit team finds them fast.
Clear briefings, releases on the day and reading the room. A good reaction never costs a contributor their dignity, and the production's duty of care outranks any shot.

Camera dept.I produce and shoot: find the contributors, get the reactions and interviews, and make sure every frame looks right.
Best for: entertainment and factual formats, documentaries, studio series, live events and brand films.
Story first. I shape interviews and rushes into a structure that holds, then finish it properly.
Best for: newsroom features, podcast series, event films and launch campaigns.
The frame around the frame: titles, thumbnails and the packaging that gets a film watched.
Best for: channels, shows and events that need a consistent look across every platform.
Packages are built per job. Tell me the brief and I'll spec the right camera, glass and light.
Shooting PD, DoP or edit, in the UK or on location abroad. Send the brief and dates and I'll come back with availability, a plan and a kit list.
